ERASMUS BALATON TRIP ☀️

Ready for a full day of summer vibes at Hungary’s most famous lake? ️ Join us for an unforgettable day trip from Budapest!

Meeting point: Budapest-Kelenföld Railway Station
⏰ Meeting time: 7:45 AM

Our journey starts in Balatonfüred, where we’ll have some free time to explore the lakeside promenade, enjoy the views and grab a coffee or ice cream. ☕

Next stop: beautiful Tihany!  
The first group will head to visit Tihany Abbey ⛪️, while the second group stays in Balatonfüred a little longer and travels to Tihany later. Then both group will have the chance to explore the village and enjoy some free time there.

️ Optional group lunch:
We’ll have the option to eat together at a traditional Hungarian restaurant. Lunch is at your own expense.

From Tihany, we’ll take the ferry across Lake Balaton to Szántód and then enjoy a relaxed afternoon with beach time and free activities. ️

In the evening, we head to Siófok for the famous Petőfi Promenade, where you can enjoy the nightlife, bars and summer atmosphere.

Coming back to Budapest
The return journey is facultative. There will be trains allowing you to get back to Budapest between approximately 10 PM and midnight.

️ Ticket options

Ferry ticket only: 500 HUF
⛪️ Ferry + Tihany Abbey: 3,000 HUF

A valid Hungary Pass is required for the trip, which can be purchased with a valid student card.

We’ll be travelling by public transport. This keeps the trip more affordable and gives you a chance to experience how locals actually travel around Hungary.
