Hike - Orientation Week

Join us for the closing programme of our Orientation Week, a small hike-like experience in the Buda hills of Budapest ⛰️. Get a chance to look down on the buzzing city of Budapest ️ from the Elizabeth Lookout Tower, which sits on the highest point of Budapest in the 23m high tower reaching 550 meters above sea level. The hike only takes around 3 kilometers to the top ‍♂️‍♀️ and from there we can get to a nearby field on the side of the hill called Normafa and just share some time together there and eat some snacks and drinks ! There will be options to use for taking some food, so if you do not bring any, don’t worry!

To be less crowded, we will split into smaller 40–50 people groups to climb that hilltop together . So please choose the same group with your friends and be on time ⏰, so the groups can leave on time!

We will get to the starting point by a unique experience : the cogwheel train that goes regularly and takes us up close to Normafa, where we will start our hike!

Groups will gather at Széll Kálmán square and walk to the cogwheel train station. You can use it with a valid Budapest Pass, Country Pass or just a single-use BKK ticket

Gathering point: Széll Kálmán square (Budapest, Széll Kálmán tér, 1024) next to the metro station building under the clock ⏳

Group 1: gathers around 13:30 → leaves with the cogwheel train at 14:00
Group 2: gathers around 13:45 → leaves at 14:15
Group 3: gathers around 14:00 → leaves at 14:30
Group 4: gathers around 14:15 → leaves at 14:45

✨ Don’t forget: bring some equipment based on the weather ☀️️ (sunscreen, water, or even an umbrella) and wear comfortable shoes — let’s walk and enjoy nature together !
