Join us for a daytrip to a city that is tucked between Budapest and Vienna. Győr offers the perfect blend of history, culture, and relaxed Central European charm. On this special trip we will explore the most important attractions of the city like the Zichy castle, the town hall and the Basilica of Győr.
General info:
Date: 14th of March
Meeting time: 8:00 (pls try to be punctual)
Meeting point: Déli pályaudvar (at the weird statue)
What to bring?
- water
- some food
- some games (so you can play on a train)
- waterproof clothing (in case if it rains)
- personal document
Why is this trip special?
You probably don't know, but ELTE has some faculties in a city called Szombathely (arround 300 km far from Budapest) and they also have some Erasmus students. We will meet up with tham in Győr and complete the trip together.
About transportation:
We will go with the S10 train which departs from the station at 8:25 and arrives to Győr at arround 10:20.
We are meeting so early because the seats can't be reserved and if we go early there is a higher chance that we can all sit in one wagon.
We don't know which train are we coming back with, because it's hihly dependent on the group.
If you have a country pass, you can travel on the train for free.
If you don't you will have to by the ticket on the train station. (2200Ft without a student certificate)
