If you'd like to take a break from the busy city life, here's your chance to visit Kőszeg, a lovely town at the foot of the Alps. Kőszeg is a small historic town in western Hungary, known for its well-preserved medieval charm, it features narrow cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and landmarks like Jurisics Castle, which played a key role in defending the town against Ottoman forces in the 16th century. During the trip, we will walk around the town, explore its relaxed atmosphere, and learn a bit about its history.

IMPORTANT!
The trains we will take require seat ticket reservations, which you will have to buy for yourselves. (in case you don't have a country pass you will have to buy the train tickets too). We'll take a train from Budapest to Szombathely then we'll change for another train to Kőszeg (no need for seat reservation between Szombathely and Kőszeg). Details for the trains:
- Budapest-->Szombathely (Intercity) leaves from Kelenföld at 8:25, arrives to Szombathely at 10:49
- Szombathely-->Budapest (Intercity) leaves from Szombathely railway station at 19:10, arrives back to Budapest at 21:32
We highly recommend buying both of the seat reservation tickets at least a day before, since the place on the train is limited especially on the one we'll take on our way home (also it's cheaper that way).
